For the past 30 years, Mother Antonia
Brenner has lived in a pink, unlocked, 10 x 10 cell at La Mesa
Penitentiary in Tijuana, Mexico ministering to the inmates. Mother
Antonia, "Prison Angel," raised seven children in Beverly Hills,
California, before becoming a nun at age 50. Mother Antonia became
lost one day and inadvertently wound up at the prison. Upon seeing
the conditions, she vowed to come back - hence her ministry.
"In 30 years there, I haven't met anyone that wasn't worth everything
I could give to them, even my life. I see the image and likeness of
God in each and every one of them."
